My Marketing Post Cards
For those curious about how I designed my postcards. Here they are. I used MS Word. I have two different back designs and one front design. They are simple but they serve the purpose. Show book cover, provide summary, provide some reviews and my website and/or purchasing information.

Karla, this blog is fantastic! I am a writer myself, and came across your blog while researching self-publishing. Thank you for being so candid about your self-publishing experience. This is incredibly valuable information, and I will be sure to tag your book in Amazon when I place my order. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Karla!
ReplyDeleteYour card looks great!
I hope to get mine sorted out soon too.
Thanks for the tips.
Wow, you've created these in Word? I never realized that color and images could display so well using word. Thanks for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips Karla. I was just about done with Vistaprint! I did my postcards and bookmarks with Printmarketing Pro (which came along with Bookcover Pro) and it took about 5 to 10 minutes to design each one and generate as pdf. I got my 1000 of each in the mail yeaterday and they look like a million bucks (double gloss, burnt orange!). I felt like singing "Can't touch this"!!! I immediately shipped some of them off with my BEA marketing package to NY. One of them has gone up in price since your last post though but still the best deal around for offset printing. Highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting them. They look great.
